This is Dr. Christy's story.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to help people. When I was young, I would rub my mothers' back it would sometimes "pop". Later, when it was discovered that she had leukemia I enrolled in college to study medicine, to learn all I could about this type of cancer.

During the first year as a student, I was involved a serious car accident. I sustained numerous soft tissue injuries. My left arm, shoulder and neck were so injured that I was unable to lift my arm or even hold a glass of water.  My pain was constant and severe. I had to quit my job as a waitress and my studies were greatly affected.

After going to the emergency room I was directed to the standard route of medical care, physical therapy and drug therapy. After six months of standard medical treatment. I was still in virtually the same condition. I didn't know what to do. Through grace, a good friend told me about Chiropractic. I had never gone to a Chiropractor, so I thought I would try.

To my surprise and relief, after receiving Chiropractic care. I quickly began to improve; this Doctor of Chiropractic planted the seed for me to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He liked that I always asked a lot of questions and wanted to know how Chiropractic care worked!  When I told him what I was studying med. Lab tech, he handed me a catalog for Chiropractic Colleges, and told me I should become a Doctor!  It took a while for this seed to grow, but a few years later I enrolled in Chiropractic College.

While in Chiropractic school, I still continued to have pain from the accident; the pain was influence by my severe allergies and the fatigue that a still experienced. To help find more relief, as I had learned about in school, I sought out a Chiropractor who used the technique of Applied Kinesiology.  This technique seemed to be just the answer for me, as my overall health began to improve. My adjustments would hold for a longer period of time. I decided this was the type of Chiropractor I wanted to become. I was inspired and energized. The next few years, while in school, I took many Hours of workshops about different types of Chiropractic techniques and approaches. I have never stopped learning about healing and Chiropractic.

Over these twenty-five years, my practice has evolved through my own journey as a wife and mother of three wonderful children. Over the years I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, multiple food allergies, yeast and candida, fibromyalgia and autoimmune disease. With personal experience of these issues I know what it is like to have those BAD days and what to do for them. Naturally, the study of the healing of these illnesses has become my life's work. I personally have found that holistic care has kept me going.

I became certified in Acupuncture over 18 years ago. I have also extensively studied Women's health issues, the use of nutrition in healing, and the advanced methods of Applied Kinesiology.

My practice now can be truly defined as a Complete Wellness approach. Through these methods as well as the used of a specific, gentle Chiropractic adjustment I have been able to help so many people in my practice.

I feel that I am doing what I was truly meant to do - I look forward every day to helping people to have a better quality of life. I am blessed to have to patients that I do.
